Often people who are wealthy are looked down on as some terrible people. It is my belief that God is not against someone developing wealth. What God does not like is greed.
There are many examples in theBible of men who were wealthy; Abraham, David, Solomon are a few. The faults of these men that God focused on were fear in Abraham's life, sexual sin in David's and Soloman experienced the fact that wealth does not bring happiness or satisfaction.
Jesus did focus a lot on how we use our money. I once heard Zig Ziglar speak and he said I can tell what your priorities are by looking at your calendar and your checkbook. Where you spend you time and where you spend your money reveals your priorities.
I want to recommend Dave Ramsey's book, "Financial Peace" or "Total Money Makeover", Larry Burkett's book "Debt-Free Living" and "Your Money Counts" by Howard Dayton.
You probably can find these at the Amazon or Christian Book links.
First open your Bible and check out what God says about money and wealth.

This is a good point Larry--reminds me of people misquoting the "Money is the root of all evil, when it's the LOVE of money (hence the greed factor) that is the root of all evil.
I feel God wants you to be wealthy to further advance His kingdom & for you to enjoy it as well.
I am glad I happened upon your blog. Oh, and one more thing, don't forget to tithe. :-)
