In Mark 6: 34-36 it tells about Jesus seeing the multitude and they were like sheep without a shepherd and He had compassion for them. Let that be your example when you see the hungry, the thirsty or the homeless. Have compassion not pity on them. Compassion moves us to take action but pity moves us to avoid them.
